YouTube Podcasts FAQs

We know that you might have some questions about submitting to YouTube Podcasts, and we'd love to help! Below you'll find some frequently asked questions.

Will my YouTube stats show in Buzzsprout?
Right now, YouTube stats will only show on your YouTube Studio. Because of the way YouTube tracks and stores data your YouTube stats won't be included on your Buzzsprout Stats page. But, log into your YouTube Studio account and go to the Analytics tab to see those numbers!

Why isn't my new episode showing on my YouTube Channel?
When you publish a new episode on Buzzsprout, it should be added to your directory listings within a few hours. Directories check for updates on their own schedules, so the episode will populate at different times throughout the day. It just depends on when YouTube checks for updates!

If you're not seeing your episode after 24 hours, head to your YouTube Studio and go to Content > Videos. If you see the episode there, it may be listed as Private or may have an issue. Change any Private videos to Public and correct any issues and you should see them live on YouTube within 24 hours! CleanShot 2025-02-05 at 08.14.01@2x.png I edited and replaced the audio file in an episode. Why hasn't it been updated on my YouTube Channel?
YouTube is unique from other directories in that it copies your new episodes into YouTube instead of checking your RSS feed for new changes. So, if you replaced the audio file or made a change to an existing episode, you will need to refresh the RSS feed for that episode on YouTube.

Just follow these steps:
  1. Log into your YouTube Studio account.
  2. On the left side of the page, go to Content and then Videos
  3. Select the three dots next to the episode that you need to refresh.
  4. Click Re-Upload from RSS feed.
Then, YouTube will grab the new audio file from your Buzzsprout RSS feed, and you'll see your updated episode! CleanShot 2025-02-05 at 08.10.58@2x.png I have an episode with video and audio content. How do I add that to my YouTube listing?
Since Buzzsprout focuses on audio podcasting, you won't be able to publish your video episodes directly from Buzzsprout. But, let's say you recorded an episode with both audio and video. You can upload this directly in your YouTube Studio! It will appear alongside the videos of your audio episode with the static image of your podcast artwork.

Is there a video to walk me through the submission process?
